Degree/Bachelor requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts – Major in Psychology
  • Bachelor of Science (including behavioural, applied, social or health sciences) – Major in Psychology
  • Bachelor of Science (inc. behavioural, applied, human services or health sciences) – Major in Disability Studies
  • Bachelor of Psychology
  • Bachelor of Social Work
  • Bachelor of Nursing


Graduate Diploma (or higher) in one of the following:

  • Social Work
  • Psychology
  • Rehabilitation Counselling
  • Disability Studies
  • Counselling
  • Nursing


Qualifications as one of the following:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Psychologist
  • Exercise Physiologist

Medical Experts (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist)

DP Workplace Solutions are required to comply to WorkCover regulations for the employment of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists.  WorkCover classify Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists as Medical Experts. All Medical Experts are required to hold current registration with the relevant board in South Australia.  All Medical Experts are required to adhere to each relevant boards code of ethics and professional conduct. All qualifications must be recognised by WorkCover to Australian standards.  A pre-registration check can be completed via WorkCover if there is an uncertainty. All Medical Experts are required to have completed a Bachelor (or higher) within their designated field, for example:

Occupational Therapist


  • Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with AHPRA


Physiotherapist

  • Degree (or higher) in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with AHPRA


Psychologist

  • Masters of Psychology
  • Registered with AHPRA
